Three friends, Daniel Orsolini, Claude Serra and Thierry Pommet with almost sixty years of combined experience in the wine trade, get together with one aim: producing terrific, genuine and natural Rhône wines.
 
In 2014, Le Plan Des Moines was born when they found and selected their first vineyard of Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages.
Le Plan Des Moines was then created using the name of this vineyards located between Remoulins and Avignon.

Soon after, a 4-hectare Châteauneuf du Pape vineyard in Courthezon was selected (les Charretons).
 
Their first harvest was made in 2014, they vinified our Côtes du Rhône la Borde, Côtes du Rhône Villages Le Pré des Suves and Châteauneuf du Pape .
In 2015, a Côtes du Rhône white Les Silènes were produced from the Côtes du Rhône vineyard.
Then after they extended the range to a Vacqueyras and Gigondas in 2016.
 
All the wines from Le Plan Des Moines are vinified and bottled at the property to avoid transporting grapes or bulk.
Claude, an experienced Viticulturist and winemaker (Professor in Oenology at Montpellier University), controls the viticulture, winemaking and bottling of the wines.
 
Since the International Press have awarded many medals and great scores to Le Plan Des Moines.
 
One of the secrets behind the wines of Le Plan Des Moines is their exceptional passion and dedication for quality and respect of the environment and Terroirs. Grapes are traditionally hand-picked and carefully sorted. Priority is given to organic treatments on the vineyards. The average yield does not exceed 40 hl/Hectare.
Richness of the fruit, complexity and a good balance with some freshness on the finish are the characteristics of the wines of Le Plan Des Moines.
